If you’ve had a computer that used Windows 8, you might’ve loved it. You may have hated it; much like Marmite.
It was one of IT’s great divides.
The operating system was fine for laptop-cum-tablets, but for those traditional laptops or PCs, the system was awkward and not user-friendly whatsoever.
So, Windows 10 is here.
Here are some cool features you can expect from the operating system.
Start bar
The beloved start bar. Missed most by those who had to try and work their way around a Windows 8 computer from a desktop. The start bar draws both traditional and modern touches.
Cortana
With a digital assistant to rival Siri, Microsoft have created Cortana. This feature has been available on Windows phones for a while now, but it is due to be integrated into tablets and PCs. It can be activated by saying “Hey Cortana” or by typing commands such as “show my Excel spreadsheet for the charity fundraiser”.
Spartan Browser
Yes. A new browser. We’re unsure if it’s going to rival or replace the likes of Internet Explorer, but there’s a new kid in town. The Spartan browser allows annotations via any device, a reading mode, and integration with Cortana. For instance, when searching for a gym, Cortana may display gym opening times and fees.
