As part of our continuing growth, we’ve recruited an apprentice.
Tyler Allen joined the team on 1st October and will be working with us while he undertakes his Computing apprenticeship.
Tyler will be learning all sorts of stuff: we’re big believers in ‘in at the deep end’! So far this week he has already configured some laptops for a client and learnt some HTML, set up some PCs, and shadowed the support team on some client visits.
Tyler wanted to undertake an apprenticeship so that he could get some valuable work experience as well as continuing his studies at college. He wants to be able to use his initiative and get his teeth into some interesting projects. He’s come to the right place!
We asked Tyler about his first week at work and he said he was nervous about starting as this is his first experience of a “proper job” but it’s all been “ok so far”.
Asked to describe something he’s really passionate about, Tyler said (and we quote) “I love meat, it’s my favourite type of food”. He also likes extreme sports and would love to do a sky dive one day. He turns 18 next week and was intending to do a dive then, but he opted for a “meat party” instead. Following his passion right from the start!
