Have you heard of Two Birds? If you haven’t you soon will. They are a new distillery based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, who produce the finest gin, vodka and absinthe.
So good is their gin, that they have recently won the Craft Distillers’ Alliance craft gin award for 2013. It’s good stuff and we can vouch for that!
But what has all this got to do with us? Well despite being big fans of alcoholic spirits, we are also extremely proud of the website we have built for Two Birds, which is due to go live in the next few days.
The brief from Two Birds was for an e-commerce website that not only showcased their products, but also allowed people to purchase multiple items to be sent to multiple addresses. Normal e-commerce sites only have one postal option. As Two Birds believe that a considerable portion of their sales will be for presents, this element of the website was hugely important.
Adding a multi-address option to the site was quite a challenge as there are a number of things to consider in order to make sure the different items go to the right people at the right address, and the invoice statement doesn’t follow the gifts! But with a clever bit of coding and some serious thought mapping, we’ve got the solution nailed.
