Our team is continuing to expand (and not just from too many mince pies!) and on 2nd December we welcomed Rob Hamilton to Code String.
Rob joined us as a developer, having decided to give up his illustrious career at McDonald’s. Rob studied software engineering at university and really enjoys implementing changes and seeing them happen.
Rob enjoys meeting clients and had his first face to face with one of ours this week. He says it’s the creative elements of developing that he really enjoys, and producing the results the client wants.
This role is completely different to his last and Rob says he is still getting used to being in an office environment. He has yet to stamp his authority on the office music choice though.
Out of work, Rob likes the ‘extreme sports’ of fishing and golf. He fishes most weeks during the summer and plays golf with his friends a couple of times a month. He was unwilling to disclose his handicap though, so we’re not sure the Open beckons anytime soon!
Rob is a bit of a geek at heart – well he does work in IT! – and loves Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He loved the current Hobbit film so much that he intends to go and see it again straight away. That’s geek commitment.
Rob said he wants to be a millionaire by the time he’s 30 and will get there by developing some as-yet-unthought-of web app that revolutionises the online world. You heard it here first!
